As part of the agreement, Rosseti will develop charging infrastructure for electric transport throughout Russia. In addition, by April 19, 20201, companies are negotiating to provide Volkswagen Group Rus with access to the Rossetei platform, which provides access to an interactive map of charging stations and a service for paying the cost of charging.

Deputy General Director for Digital Transformation of Rosseti Konstantin Mikhailik, commenting on the deal with Volkswagen, noted that the creation of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and related client services will allow the company to diversify its business on the one hand, to enter the new market and ensure the growth of non-tariff revenues, and on the other hand, due to the scale of the company's activities, conditions will be provided for the formation of a network of charging stations in Russia for barrier-free use of electric transport.

The promotion of innovative and environmentally friendly electric vehicles is possible only if the infrastructure is developed. Cooperation with Rosseti will allow us to effectively implement our global strategy for the electrification of vehicles with the help of related technological solutions and taking into account the specifics of the Russian market, "said Stefan Meha, head of the Russian mission.[1]
