2021: Implementation of Opcenter Execution Process
Absolut has implemented POOpcenter Execution Process to manage manufacturing processes, which is an important step towards digitalization of all its enterprises. This became known on April 19, 2021. Thanks to the implementation, the company now has one fully digital production line, and the launch of four more is scheduled for 2021. The Siemens solution will help the representative of the Swedish food industry to switch to digital management and consistently implement the concept of Industry 4.0.
In addition to the complete automation of production lines, which is in the process of phased implementation by April 2021, the company has improved the quality of traceability, higher processing of orders, as well as the organization of real-time monitoring and control of production. Based on Opcenter, Absolut has created a dynamic platform for the transition to digital control and configuration of five production lines at its facilities in Ohus (Sweden).
Opcenter is integrated with Absolut Enterprise Resource Management (ERP). These systems together form an integrated production order that combines data from different business systems with specific production line data. This production order is the basis for starting the line setup and starting the activities required for the production of the product. At the same time, most control systems for Absolut are supplied by Siemens - for example, they include ASODU SIMATIC WinCC, which is used as software for visualizing the production process.
Thanks to Opcenter, it becomes possible to create digital doubles, which is vital for Absolut. The company is investing in the development of an accurate digital copy of production lines and value chain in order to improve the accuracy of simulation of production of digitally calculated launch lots. As a result, specialists can test the process in a digital environment and make sure that everything is functioning properly, and, if necessary, make appropriate changes to the digital version, saving time, strength and means.
For us, this is an ideal solution, since it is designed for the entire value chain - from the acceptance of raw materials to the distribution of finished products, including quality control, planning and scheduling of production, as well as reporting, trend monitoring and advanced analysis of production data, "says Emil Swardh, senior automation engineer at Absolut. - It offers us great opportunities, in particular, the accumulation of data that can help us continuously improve processes or improve the quality of traceability. I am sure that digitalization can create values both in production and for our consumers. |
