2021: Implementing the Virtualized Subscriber Data Management Platform
ZTE Corporation, an international provider of telecommunications, corporate and consumer technologies for mobile Internet, announced on April 22, 2021 that it had deployed the virtualized SDM (Subscriber Data Management) platform in Uzbekistan together with Beeline Uzbekistan. For Beeline Uzbekistan, this was an important step in digitalizing its activities aimed at improving user experience.
With the virtualized SDM platform, Beeline was able to improve network performance while reducing overall operating costs by 60%. At the same time, the reliability of the network, according to the customer, increased to 99.9999%, which ensured the security of user data.
As a user data management center in a mobile communication network, the vSDM platform can manage a 2G, 3G, 4G (LTE) and EIR (Equipment Identification Register) network, which allows for such tasks as integrated development of several networks and high-throughput data service. In addition, this platform meets the needs of Beeline Uzbekistan in the development of 5G.
During introduction of the vSDM platform the intellectual control system of engineering projects ZTE of iEPMS was used. To improve network deployment efficiency, the system has fully managed key benchmarks such as equipment delivery, installation and debugging, first call, acceptance testing, and commercial switching.
Despite the various risks associated with COVID-19, ZTE, relying on its cloud delivery mode, has implemented intelligent network deployment tools to perform hardware verification, automatic commissioning of the cloud platform, automatic deployment of network elements and O & M (English Operations and Maintenance, operation and maintenance).
