The Russian economy has chance to overcome lag in information technology development from the West within five years, consider in SAP CIS.

The Russian economy has chance to overcome lag in information technology development from the West within five years, the managing director of SAP CIS companyVladislav Martynov told.

"Conditions under which such forecast can be performed, - effective state policy in the field of IT and increase in expenses on IT from present 1% to 4% of GDP", - Martynov told, having added that it is optimistic, but not conservative forecast.

For this purpose, according to Martynov, also change of structure of IT expenses will be required: the share of software costs should grow at the expense of the share falling on equipment procurement.

According to Martynov, now only 40% of the Russian companies implemented the so-called transaction systems, i.e. means of computer registration of the facts of business activities (accounting and ERP systems). In the developed countries of such enterprises not less than 95%, RIA Novosti reports.
