The ERP market of Russia in 2009 on number of implementations dropped by 19%

DSS Consulting released the third update of the research "The State-of-the-art Review of the Russian Market of ERP Systems at the end of 2009" containing information on implementations of the systems of the class ERP in the territory of the Russian Federation since January, 2008 till December, 2009.

According to the report, in 2009 the total number of completed projects increased for 7 ERP systems from 22 constantly and actively implemented in the market. At the same time at one system, in 2008 which was not implemented at the end of 2009 completed projects of implementation were mentioned.

Total number of completed projects for 2009 is less, than for a same previous period (2008) that speaks about some decline in demand for the systems of the class ERP from the market, partly caused by the crisis phenomena in economy (for systems having the small term of implementation) and also existence of rather large number of the projects in progress begun in pre-crisis 2008 and 2007 (for average and large ERP systems). In 2009 the number of implementations of the systems of the class ERP makes the value which is 81% of completed projects of software implementation to results of 2008.

In comparison with 2008, on geographical sign leadership of Central Federal District is confirmed, to the second place 3 years in a row come the Northwestern Federal District, to the third - the Volga Federal District. The activity at the end of 2009 decreased for all federal districts. The greatest decrease in number of implementations was recorded in Siberian Federal District and was-27%.

During the considered period (2009) the companies number of staff up to 1500 people with holding structure became the companies which made a choice for benefit of the systems of an ERP class as well as the previous year, in the majority.
