QTech began selling smartphones in Russian " to the operating system." Aurora This became known in May 2021.

According to Izvestia, the devices are available in two modifications:

  • QTech QMP-M1-N for 25 thousand rubles;
  • QTech QMP-M1-N IP68 with a protected case for 35 thousand rubles.

According to the description on the manufacturer's website, the QMP-M1-N has a 5.99-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels, a 4000mAh battery, an MTK6739 MediaTek processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of permanent memory. The main camera includes two modules (8 and 0.3 megapixels), and the front - one (2 megapixels). It also indicates the presence of a fingerprint scanner, two SIM cards and NFC support.

According to Pavel Eiges, general director of the Open Mobile Platform OS, whose words the newspaper quotes, the Russian operating system has all the same functions as the usual Android or iOS. From a smartphone you can make calls, exchange messages and open documents. In addition, Aurora allows you to read new electronic passports, as well as prevent data transfer to third-party services.

At the same time, similar in functionality and appearance smartphones based on Android cost no more than 6-7 thousand rubles. Mobile Research Group analyst Eldar Murtazin believes that Russian gadgets with Aurora will be most interesting to government customers or large businessmen. However, for the average user, these devices will be useless.

Independent expert on mobile devices and gadgets Vadim Plessky said that domestic smartphones do not have the opportunity to connect to Google Play or the App Store. For this reason, instant messengers and applications such as WhatsApp or Telegram, familiar to everyone, will not be available.[1][2]
