2021: SD-WAN Network Creation
The international service provider Orange Business Services on May 14, 2021 announced that it had deployed a software-defined distributed network (SD-WAN) based on the Cisco Meraki solution for Brunel, a Dutch consulting recruitment company. Brunel has a secure and easy-to-manage network solution.
The project is implemented as part of a long-term strategic partnership of companies. Brunel has set Orange the task of consolidating and standardizing the global network (WAN) using MPLS technology so that employees can use Microsoft Modern Workplace (joint workplace) solutions and, as a result, work productively from anywhere. In addition, Brunel sought to simplify network management and increase profitability, including opening offices faster.
Orange Business Services has deployed a global Meraki SD-WAN solution on the Brunel network. Among its functions are managed Internet connections and integration with the public area of Microsoft Azure.
Brunel and Orange will manage the service together. The consulting company can make day-to-day operational changes locally through the dashboard, making the solution more flexible and scalable for the company's core IT department.
We have a trusting relationship with Orange. The partner has provided us with a solution that provides the continuity, flexibility and scalability we need to grow our business. By switching to SD-WAN, we managed to reduce costs by about 30%, provide employees with reliable access at any time and anywhere, ensure network performance and protection for the future, "said Brunel CIO Stefan de Boer. |
After the introduction of SD-WAN, Brunel gained a simple, fast and smart infrastructure that supports constantly connected mobile devices using a centralized management platform. The result was a secure and cost-effective network that fully supports Brunel's growth ambitions, "commented Nemo Verbist, senior vice president of Orange Business Services in Europe. |
