The "Universal Transport Module" (UTM), developed by the company "SoundInform," helps wholesale and retail trade organizations transfer information on the turnover and retail sale of alcoholic beverages to the database of the Unified State Automated Information System for Recording the Volume of Production and Turnover of Ethyl Alcohol, Alcoholic and Alcohol-Containing Products (EGAIS).
2021: UTM version 4 compatibility with "Rutoken EDS" 2.0/" Rutoken EDS "2.0 2100
On May 14, 2021, SoundInform, a system integrator in the field of information security and information protection, and Asset, a Russian developer of information security software and hardware, report positive results of testing for compatibility of the Universal Transport Module software product version 4 in the EGAIS environment and Rutoken EDS 2.0/Rutoken EDS 21.00 hardware identifiers.
To maintain document management with the EGAIS, each point of production or sale of alcohol needs a crypto key with hardware cryptography and a qualified electronic signature recorded on it.
In mid-March 2021, a new version of UTM 4.2.0 with an improved user interface and additional reporting forms was released. As of May 2021, a smooth transition to this version is underway, and from June 1, 2021, the use of UTM version 4.2.0 when working with EGAIS will become mandatory.
During the joint tests by the specialists of the companies "The Information" and "Asset" confirmed the correctness of the operation of the UTM updated version 4.2.0 both with the old model Rutoken EDS 2.0 [2000] and with the model Rutoken EDS 2.0 2100 on a more up-to-date element base. To support the smooth transition of UTM and Rutoken users to work with updated products, the experts of the company "Asset" prepared an instruction that will help organizations check which version of UTM they have installed and, if necessary, update it.
The Rutoken EDS 2.0 2100 model as of May 2021 is the recommended crypto key for the electronic signature of the EGAIS. The basic Rutoken EDS 2.0 (2000) model will be withdrawn from sales from June 1, 2021.
