2021: Connection to the Sber antifrode system
On May 24, 2021, Sberbank announced that MTS had joined its antifrode system.
Sber, together with MTS and other telecom operators, continues to develop an antifrode system to protect customers from telephone fraud. It is a high-tech solution based on the instant exchange of information.
A combined antifrode platform with the participation of telecom operators allows you to detect attacks of criminals in real time: the system immediately tracks a fraudulent call, after which the bank takes measures to protect the client even before he manages to transfer money to the criminal.
The joint efforts of Sber and telecom operators increase customer security: since the beginning of the year, we have recorded 42% fewer complaints of telephone fraud than in the same period last year. Let me remind you that in 2020 this type of fraud turned into a national disaster, because millions of Russians - holders of bank cards - faced it. Thanks to the introduction of a number of preventive tools, we managed to turn the tide, helping customers save money and nerves.
