2021: Start of sales of Zyxel WAC500 and Zyxel WAC500H in Russia, CIS and Ukraine

On May 24, 2021, Zyxel Networks announced the launch of sales in Russia, the CIS and Ukraine of two Wi-Fi 5 access points: Zyxel WAC500 and Zyxel WAC500H. Letter H in the name of the second model means the wall arrangement of the device and a number of options designed specifically for accommodation in hotels.

With the NebulaFlex Pro license included in the basic delivery, both devices support three types of management: local, cloud, and through a hardware controller. Therefore, depending on the complexity of the network, system administrators are free to choose how to work with devices.

Zyxel WAC500H is specially designed for hotels. Includes support for Wave 2 standards 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 and 5 GHz). Antennas used in the device are designed according to the 2x2 scheme with support for MU-MIMO. Up to 866 Mbps data rate. The device is equipped with effective protection against interference of 4G/5G networks.

An interesting feature of the Zyxel WAC500H is two gigabit output LANs, one of which is capable of transmitting power over the PoE.

The device is designed for deployment scenarios in each room. Thus, the WAC500H is not just a Wi-Fi access point, but also a gigabit switch with PoE. This allows you to connect a wired printer, VoIP phone, and other peripherals to the point.

The WAC500H supports three types of management: a local web interface, a Zyxel Nebula cloud network management platform, and a hardware controller.

Working with 802.11ac Wave 2 standards, the WAC500H provides fast and reliable connectivity with full video conferencing, secure data transfer, and seamless multi-device connectivity.

The Zyxel WAC500 is a versatile business solution. The hybrid access point, in terms of its radio characteristics and performance, is an analogue of the WAC500H, but with a housing and fixture for both wall and ceiling accommodation in restaurants, cafes, bars, offices, warehouses, schools, etc.

The WAC500H includes a 1-year NebulaFlex Pro license and, similar to its WAC500H sister, can be managed locally through a controller or cloud. Depending on the complexity of the network, system administrators can choose the best way to work with the device.
