Dassault Systèmes purchases Exalead

The Dassault Systemes (DS) company, the 3D and PLM developer (product lifecycle management) of solutions, announced acquisition of the French company Exalead, the supplier of search platforms and applications on their basis for private and corporate users. Transaction amount was about 135 million Euros.

Monthly more than 100 million people use Exalead for information search, receiving to it necessary access and preparation of reports. Among them – corporate users of such organizations as Sanofi-Aventis and the World Bank and also Friendster, Lagardère Active and ViaMichelin companies which perform context search of customers. Exalead is a developer only in the industry of the platform which is initially created for use of advanced semantic data processing in the environment of web. The Exalead platform has unique indicators of scaling, flexibility and practicality in such industries as bank and publishing, retail, business and consumer services, and natural sciences, i.e. in those spheres where simple and online access to information is very important.
