Integrated Energy Systems (Data center - outsourcing Onlanta)

ONLANTA provided to the geographically distributed companies entering into Integrated Energy Systems holding, services in providing the centralized hosting of a corporate information system of SAP ERP in data center of ONLANTA company.

Subsystems of planning of maintenance and repair of the equipment, management of material flows, accounting, tax, management accounting and treasury are a part of a corporate information system of IES-Holding based on SAP ERP. A system provides procedures of collecting of the reporting, its consolidation and operational check for uniform regulations and methodologies within all holding.

The operability of a corporate information system was provided with geographically distributed IT infrastructure. Because a system is crucial for business, the management of holding made the decision on transfer it for the centralized work in uniform data center. For obtaining the greatest economic effect it was decided to transfer to outsourcing as support of the most information system, and all necessary infrastructure.

The solution of the general problem of centralization of an information system was broken into two stages. At the first stage transfer of a corporate information system based on SAP ERP for the centralized work in data center should be provided. At the subsequent stages transfer to uniform data center billing and other business and critical centralized corporate information systems is planned.

For implementation of problems of the first stage in the fall of 2009 a competition at the choice of IT service provider was held.

As one of tender conditions the management of IES-Holding defined readiness of the outsourcer for the operational beginning of works on the agreement in connection with reduction of an implementation time of SAP ERP. on November 20th, 2009 tender came to the end, and on December 1st the winner company already had to begin provision of services of a hosting of computing powers. Therefore from participants of tender it was required not only to offer the optimal price, but also to submit within the set terms necessary on productivity, the installed and connected equipment and also to provide the duplicated communication channels.

The Onlanta company became the winner of competition.

Now commissioning is finished, the information systems planned to transfer work at resources of data center Onlanta, testing of fault tolerance of a complex is held. A system is operated in the industrial mode.

As the vice president for information technologies of IES-Holding Sergienko Dmitry notes: "In a system translation result on a hosting in data center of ONLANTA company it was succeeded to organize in the shortest possible time its input in commercial operation, to minimize investments into computing infrastructure (that is important in the conditions of crisis) and also to pay only computing powers necessary at present, having provided the best return from invested funds".
