2021: GC 14
Garmin on June 8, 2021 introduced GC 14: a marine camera for installation on deck and in boat holds. These small and unobtrusive analog cameras provide a high-quality image that can be viewed on-board TV, video monitors, or compatible video input-enabled cartplotters.
Cameras can be used in various places on deck and below deck. Images can be displayed on a single cartplotter or on multiple compatible cartplotters connected to a network.
The GC 14 offers a convenient reverse image setup that can be useful in bottlenecks such as busy berths. Clear images are provided even at a low level of illumination, which makes the device an excellent option for a dark engine compartment, Garmin emphasized. Cameras are easy to install; compact dimensions and strong all-weather housing allow you to place devices almost anywhere.
Other features of the cameras include:
- visibility up to 49 feet (15 meters) with poor lighting, improved performance compared to previous generation Garmin analog cameras.
- rotation of images on compatible cartplotters by 90/180/270 degrees for mounting the device with any orientation.
