2021: Launch of electronic trading platform
The international courier company SDEK on June 8, 2021 announced the launch on its website of an electronic trading platform for suppliers and contractors. With its help, the company buys consumables for packing cargo, workwear, warehouse equipment, advertising products, and also seeks contractors for servicing warehouses and for trunk transportation.
The site is completely free for suppliers. Purchases take place in one stage: SDEK collects trade offers, after which it selects the optimal one for itself - according to the price, quality of services, delivery conditions and other criteria. Based on the results of the procedure, one main supplier of goods and services and one backup supplier are selected. Companies from Russia and the CIS can participate. To do this, the supplier must register on the site and attach a package of constituent documents. Potential suppliers are checked by the SDEK security service, after which the supplier becomes a participant in the purchase - as soon as the procedure for accepting applications opens, he receives a notification.
Most often, SDEK buys materials for packaging: corrugated containers, courier bags, envelopes, scotch tape, stickers for marking goods, pallets, etc. As well as advertising products: office, polygraphy, corporate gifts, etc.
Previously, SDEK used third-party trading platforms to select service providers, but for most contractors, the tariffs and conditions dictated by tender portals caused difficulties, the company explained.
"Large companies often make their trading portals. Our site is convenient because we only place commercial purchases there. While many existing electronic trading platforms specialize in tenders under 44 and 223 federal laws and are adapted, including for them: there are few offers for the provision of services and contract work, for example, for trunk transportation. We also built tools and interfaces on our ETP so that we, as a customer, are comfortable publishing tenders. Therefore, everything is thought out for convenience on both sides, "said Albina Filimonova, tender manager at SDEK. |
Commercial Director of SDEK Maxim Tolstobrov noted: "The creation of its own electronic trading platform is a compliance with modern trends. SDEC once again confirms the openness and transparency of its work, including with regard to the selection of suppliers. As part of the optimization of tender work, we open access to ETP to a large number of suppliers and give them a real chance to win, and the results of tenders will depend on the proposed prices and correct accreditation of suppliers on our site.
