2021: Delivery of Ateme Titan video coding platform

On June 10, 2021, Ateme, an expert in the field of solutions for video broadcasting, cable television, DHT, IPTV and OTT, announced the supply of software for the head station of Digital Screens, which is part of the Media Group Ukraine holding.

Digital Screens is upgrading its legacy head station to provide more than 270 channels based on the Ateme Titan video coding platform. This will allow the organization of high-quality video broadcasting on OTT, IPTV and cable television channels.

The decision to implement the Ateme Titan platform is due to the efficiency of video compression, simplicity and flexibility of operation based on a single software solution that allows you to control all delivery networks, including IPTV, OTT and cable television, Ateme noted.

"We were looking for opportunities to increase the level of video service provided without additional difficulties. The Ateme Titan platform is suitable for this purpose. In addition to providing high video quality at a limited data rate, this solution allows you to equip a fully converged head station. Thanks to the technology of flexible content encoding (Content Adaptive Encoding) as part of the Ateme solution using computer-based training, Digital Screens will be able to save up to 30% of CDN resources, "said Leonid Sapelnikov, technical director, Digital Screens.

Ateme combines bandwidth savings, high-quality video content, and low-speed encoding and decoding. Thanks to the integrated solution of Ateme for managing three types of Digital Screens networks, it was possible to simplify the operation and improve the quality of services for subscribers throughout the country, "commented Boris Yurin, Director of Sales in Russia and the CIS, Ateme.
