The company management of "KSIL" having several production sites, more than 10 remote branches through the whole country and extensive distribution network set a task of increase in management efficiency in the conditions of dynamically upcoming business. The decision on system implementation of management which would allow the company to manage effectively distributed structure of branches and representations, to offer more convenient and transparent scheme of work to the numerous distributors and also to optimize production regarding production capacity planning and also managements of their loading was made.
According to the results of the tender organized by "KSIL" the decision on implementation of the ERP system of Microsoft Dynamics NAV in cooperation with West Concept company was made.
For a project team the company management set the following tasks:
- Organization of operational material accounting for all divisions of the company.
- Scheduling of orders for production, assessment of terms of accomplishment, tracking of availability of production capacities.
- Connection of distribution network to the central database, remote order placement, approval of the plan of shipments.
- Formation of the production schedule, purchase planning, settlement with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Formation of replaceable tasks, accounting of development of crews for transfer of employees to a price-work payment method.
- Conducting uniform operational and management accounting, correct turn on accounting of several legal entities.
- Accounting of settlement with clients, control of prepayments and post-payments by orders.
- Work in progress accounting.
During the project in the ERP system of Microsoft Dynamics NAV for achievement of these purposes the following functional units were configured:
- Management of a sales cycle, including the block of accounting of customer interactions, functionality of management of pricing and discounts, tracking of the status and completion date of the order
- Inventory material control with functionality of limit and intaking cards, accounting of merchandising between remote warehouses, inventories.
- Management of supply with a possibility of maintaining the reference book of a SCD and settlings with customs
- Material accounting in production (MRP) with implementation of schemes of subcontract production
- Planning of shipments of finished goods
- Remote order placement by distributors and branches
- Interfaces with adjacent information systems – the client bank, the system of calculation of mounting estimates, the system of maintaining design documentation and the Solid Works specifications.
Specialists of West Concept provided trainings for all users of the Customer according to their roles in the company, performed user support in commercial operation and finished a system according to wishes of users.
The management of "KSIL" notes such effects of use of a new information system as an opportunity to exercise accurate control of activity of all responsible persons, minimization of warehouse stocks due to more accurate purchase planning of materials under the received orders, optimization of schemes of interaction with budget organizations. The organization of a piece-work pay for workers on production allows to achieve increase in motivation of workers. Besides, regular customers had an opportunity to independently place orders in a system.
