Analytical solutions of the company for power industry:
The technique of forecasting of heatconsumption considers as external factors (season, the air temperature, duration of light day, humidity and so forth), and outflow of heat through windows, walls, vent systems and so forth. Forecasting of a power consumption is conducted for different categories of consumers (the industrial sector, the population and so forth) and taking into account scheduled and abnormal repairs of the equipment of power plants, expenses on own needs, losses in networks and other influencing influences. The technology of scenario modeling allows to develop forecast scenarios taking into account the planned input of new consumers and the expected technical and seasonal power limitings on power plants.
Projects of demand forecasting and generation of the electric power with identification of the factors influencing them and determination of temporary dependences (for example, taking into account seasonality) on the basis of software products of SAS were executed for Enel companies (Italy), Transco (the gas operator, England) and Northern Electric (CE Electric UK subsidiary company, England), Copenhagen Energy (Denmark), Alberta Energy (Canada), etc.
For problems of decrease in production costs and increase in efficiency of SAS offers the process focused approach to business process management (Activity Based Management, ABM). The AVM method is capable to open cause and effect relationship of formation of a financial result with indication of places of emergence of costs, to receive exact estimates on the value of the costs correlated to tariff plans, services, infrastructure elements, client segments. It means tracing of a chain of costs according to a certain scheme of impact of processes that requires high-quality accounting of what processes are performed and as they are interconnected among themselves. The software package SAS ABM is implemented in Escom companies (South Africa), ELECTRICITE DE FRANCE (EDF, France), Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations (USA), Contact Energy (New Zealand) and others.
