2021: Hybrid Cloud Platform Print Service Presentation

Konica Minolta June 16, 2021 announced the launch of a printing service based on the Hybrid Cloud Platform (EOP HCP) EveryOnePrint - a multi-user solution for safe printing that meets the concept of "software as a service." Customers can now use public and private clouds simultaneously to print, depending on their needs.

With this platform Konica Minolta provides customers with a choice. If they stop on the public cloud, the company places the print environment in its data center and takes over all management, including support for servers, drivers and licenses, as well as the configuration of printers and print queues. So, the customer will not need his own local infrastructure and even VPN - only access to the Internet is enough.

The second way is application. In private cloud this case, the customer will manage the printing environment that is located in his data center. But this does not require much effort: to create a printing environment on HCP and switch to it in less than 10 minutes. Only one web administration interface and one printer driver will be required. So customers will be able to independently manage the settings: user accounts data , access control, resource consumption, reports.

Customers who use either scenario will not need to invest in the acquisition, administration, maintenance, or support of the platform. Konica Minolta offers a solution based on the monthly subscription model - in addition, the client pays only the necessary licenses. So the cost of printing becomes more transparent and predictable.

EOP HCP is suitable for a large range of network infrastructures - even if they involve strict access control. The solution also offers full end-to-end encryption. Print jobs are encrypted, stored on a local workstation, and never leave the corporate network.

In general, Konica Minolta processes data in compliance with all security measures: the company's data center is certified, and is also equipped with a firewall and load balancer to increase the availability and performance of the web server.

The pandemic has significantly increased interest in a hybrid work environment: according to IDC forecasts, by the end of 2021, 80% of enterprises will switch to cloud infrastructure and applications twice as fast as before the pandemic. Often, cloud printing does not fit into these plans - however, it significantly simplifies business processes, allowing the user to easily print documents from anywhere. At the same time, documents are reliably protected from unauthorized access, "comments Nikolai Rykov, software solution manager at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Russia.
