On June 16, 2021, Infinidat, an enterprise-class storage solution provider, announced the release of InfiniBox SSA. This solid-state array provides the right performance. InfiniBox SSA is based on proven Infinidat deep learning software algorithms and increased DRAM cache.

According to the company, InfiniBox SSA complements the InfiniBox family and is the company's solid-state technology for permanent storage. In combination with the patented Infinidat machine learning algorithm Neural Cache, it takes the performance of the InfiniBox to the next level. InfiniBox SSA is designed for workloads that require low latency on a continuous basis, and complements the standard InfiniBox system for general-purpose applications that are primarily used in an enterprise environment.

The common software base for standard InfiniBox and InfiniBox SSA enables data migration across platforms, enabling customers to reduce total TCO while optimizing latency. InfiniBox SSA delivers better performance than AFA systems by leveraging DRAM cache software with patented Neural Cache from Infinidat. DRAM and SSD () SSD are solid-state technologies, but DRAM is an order of magnitude faster than Flash-based SSD.
