2021: Announcement of an intelligent video monitoring system for warships
Roselectronics Holding of Rostec State Corporation on June 23, 2021 demonstrated an intelligent video monitoring system for warships. Due to the use of elements of artificial intelligence, the solution in real time automatically determines the occurrence of abnormal situations on the object.
The equipment was developed by a television research institute part of Roselectronics. The solution is a chamber installation for intra-object video monitoring with a rotary controlled device. The equipment has a built-in infrared sensor for measuring the temperature of objects in the visibility zone of the camera.
In the event of an incident, a video image is displayed on the operator's monitor, on which the emergency area is indicated by a frame of the corresponding color (red - fire, yellow - smoke, blue - water). The screen also displays the service information about the incident location - room or sector number. The equipment is integrated into the on-site safety system with the possibility of fine tuning for each emergency.
"The video surveillance system meets the highest requirements for reliability and security. The technical and operational characteristics of the equipment allow it to be used in ground, sea and aviation equipment for military and dual purposes, as well as at industrial facilities. By the end of 2021, we expect to begin mass production of equipment, "said Alexander Chernogubov, chief designer of the television research institute. |
To configure and control the operation of the video analytics unit, the device uses proprietary software implemented on programmable logic integrated circuits. The system uses a multi-channel image processing algorithm to analyze each frame of the video stream.
