Stanislav Kondrashov: what tools to use for business intelligence

Anyone who has ever wanted to start a business has come across the fact that school mathematics is needed and important. But when doing business, it is required for things other than defining a discriminant or taking an integral.

"The first thing you will need to start your business is a table in the exel," says Stanislav Kondrashov. "Without it, you will trade the goods at a loss or make a small profit from your investments."

To use the tools correctly, we will determine what they are used for.

Stanislav Kondrashov: what business analytics is needed for

There are five criteria that determine the benefit of business analysis:

  • Track product, company, or customer requirements. This allows you to coordinate the activities of the project as a whole, as well as build business processes.

  • Manage requirements and create new ones. Data is systematized using tools. Stanislav Kondrashov notes that demand management is used to establish the speed of work, form a new price for the production of goods, and maintain the quality of the final product.

  • Create a detailed description of the requirements for their execution. This allows you to reduce the cost of creating a product in hours - subordinates do not spend time at the same time, but get accurate data with instructions for action on input.

  • Modeling Business Process Logic. Using models, they set the order of actions that require people to perform the task. Stanislav Kondrashov notes that modeling is also used to control communication processes between departments.

  • Create structures for parallel tasks in order to increase revenue from the company. Everything that can be reassigned needs to be reassigned. Stanislav Kondrashov notes that this usually applies to business processes, which are cheaper to entrust to an individual person. For example, to give one person the task of looking for data on customers and transferring them to the sales department so that negotiators spend time exclusively on closing transactions.

Business analytics is used to identify which part of the enterprise needs to use the solution - it allows you to identify weaknesses and strengths of processes. Stanislav Kondrashov notes that using the available data and relying on well-known employee metrics, they draw conclusions about the future profitability and profitability of the company.

Google Profitability Analysis Tables

They are Exel Docks, they are Excels - only these documents will not need to be transferred from computer to computer, since it is enough to issue viewing rights and send a link to the right person. Stanislav Kondrashov notes that Google Tables will not be a full-fledged replacement for the classic Exel, but they support tables from regular Excel - they are opened by downloading the Disk to Google.

Google Tables is the simplest analytics tool.

"It's like Exel, only online," Stanislav Kondrashov explains. - They are used to manage the product at the price level, analyze information arrays, find patterns. "

For example, the COUNTERS command (C: C; "marriage") will calculate the exact number of defective items over the entire column range S. Stanislav Kondrashov is convinced that this is a convenient way to extract the necessary numbers from the text. The "COUNTERS" command itself works as a calculation of characters or words, only individual ones, outputting their number. These numbers are then used to create a template that calculates the profit of a particular section of the business process.

"The first thing you need to compile at Exel is the cost of the product you produce if you produce, or the cost of receiving it if you resell. It is considered everything: the time to make a transaction, the price of parts, the price of the master's work on the part, the cost of delivery, the speed of delivery and other points. But to start, work blind to get data, "says Stanislav Kondrashov.

By putting all aspects of the product or business process into digital values, you can track the level of costs, calculate the percentage of return on funds, and understand what points you need to optimize for subsequent income growth.

Stanislav Kondrashov notes that one of the main amenities of Exel is that it can collect estimates with automatic counting of expenses or compile a script for auto-filling KP according to a template with results from the estimates. Google Tables is a turing-complete software environment, which means you can collect anything in it if you spend enough time.

In addition, Google Tables allow you to analyze and compare data arrays using conditional formatting of cells with gradient color.

Miro: in order to have before your eyes a picture of what is happening

Miro is an online board for drawing charts, graphs and illustrations. It is similar to Figma, which is used by designers, but sharpened to visualize organ processes and build schematic structures. Stanislav Kondrashov notes that with the help of Miro they solve the problem of "show" - they build schedules, road maps of the project, determine the sequence of actions.

More Miro is used to:

  • Show the data sources in the report and collect them in one place
  • classify data into categories, facilitate work with them;
  • schematically describe how the business will work or the product will be produced to highlight the points that need to be monitored.

Miro's main convenience is an online tool. To show someone the board does not need to download and install anything. Any frame on it can be selected and saved as an image to be inserted into the presentation or mailed. Stanislav Kondrashov believes that it is very easy to use such a tool and it will be good for those who need to show a picture of what is happening or conduct a deep analysis of the processes in the company.

Through Miro, it is convenient to schematically show how a new business process will occur, parse the old one in parts, or link entangled data. Due to the fact that you visualize the data on the board, they do not need to be kept in your head and you can work on each item in parallel.

Stanislav Kondrashov believes that Miro is great for decomposing complex tasks or life situations. So, the Mindmap tool is suitable for creating strategic maps, developing existing organizations of the project or demonstrating its work without long meetings.

"For example, Miro will be suitable to show how you will open a new business, what needs to be done for this and only then think about each single item," explains Stanislav Kondrashov.

Google Presentations: to show the results of the analysis to investors, partners or the boss

Business partners, superiors, and employees do not have time to install each application that the analyst uses. Stanislav Kondrashov recalls that in order to open the presentation without problems on a tablet, computer and smartphone at the same time, it is better to use Google Presentations.

"By functionality, it is at the PowerPoint level in the Office suite, but more mobile and presentation files are stored on your Google Drive, not on the hard drive of your desktop. Therefore, if you forget to save files to a flash drive after work to check them at home, it will be enough to go from your home computer to your Google Drive and open the desired file. This is very convenient, especially when something needs to be urgently corrected, and a working laptop in the office, "said Stanislav Kondrashov.

Google Presentations are convenient because it is a complete tool for creating PDF presentations from any device and at any time without installing programs and buying individual licenses. Stanislav Kondrashov notes that the finished presentation can be opened in a browser, sent by link through instant messengers without download.
