2021: 690-seat secure server infrastructure and fleet
The IAC of the Altai Republic on the basis of OCAstra Linux Special Edition and the PC SV "Brest" created a secure server infrastructure and a fleet of 690 workplaces. This was announced on June 25, 2021 by Astra Linux. The domestic software stack has solved problems of compatibility with a number of GIS and avoided threats to information security. The updated system is in operation and fully complies with the certification requirements.
Prior to the implementation of Astra software Linux IT Infrastructure , the IIC was built on the basis of, OS Windows which, as it turned out, involves a number of risks and difficulties. Its performance depended on foreign vendors, and the risks of vulnerabilities servers and AWS under Windows were high. The workplaces of the organization's employees are combined into a closed network, so they were not able to update the OS, while a number of state information systems required by the IICA staff do not support older versions of Windows. In addition, there were problems with SIS integration and OS in the AWS infrastructure, and the use of foreign proprietary software made it impossible to pass certification for safety requirements. FSTEC
In addition to installing and configuring solutions, during the work, CIB LLC experts overcame a number of obstacles that hampered the modernization of the system. In particular, issues related to the quality and correctness of drivers under Linux were resolved. In addition, it turned out that Windows administrators do not have the knowledge that is needed to provide automated management of AWS configurations in the Linux environment. As of June 2021, there is no information on the means to solve this problem in a Russified and documented form, and the specialists of TSIB LLC took over the development of relevant tools and methodology.
The integration of the customer's SPS with the Russian OS on servers and AWS was successful, which made it possible to prepare the IT system for certification according to the requirements of the FSTEC. In addition, a number of other imported non-volatile software products compatible with Astra Linux software have been installed and configured for the IAC. Among them are BARS.LIS for automation of laboratory diagnostics, Vodozy software from BARS Group JSC for reporting, the Telemedicine system for remote consultation created in Netrika Group of Companies, as well as the Coordination and Information System of Emergency Medical Care developed by KI Systems, a service for managing the electronic production queue AT Consulting, etc.
Astra Linux Group of Companies highly appreciates cooperation with integrators of the same level as LLC TSIB. So that any software is not just purchased, but used, it is not enough to release it to the market. It is essential that there are specialists who upgrade the customer's system and configure all new and legacy software and hardware. Thanks to the expertise of CIB employees, the Republican MIAC received a comprehensive solution based on proven domestic OS and a secure virtualization platform, as well as reliable SSIs. The software they introduced is fully prepared for industrial operation, including work with the Unified State Information System in the field of healthcare, as well as for certification measures, "comments Anton Bugretsov, commercial director of Astra Linux Group of Companies. |
