In addition, one of the significant difficulties was the psychological barrier among employees due to the fact that neither users nor system administrators had experience in using Linux-based system and application software.

ISA specialists, together with MIAC employees, implemented migration to another platform, ensured the trouble-free operation of the entire user IT infrastructure and put into operation the workplaces of personnel based on the domestic protected OS.

From the very beginning, the MIAC of the Kurgan Region supported the import substitution trend and purchased an AWS with a pre-installed Astra Linux operating system. In total, more than 3,000 licenses were purchased during the project, and all of them are used in our infrastructure as of July 2021. Initially, we had no experience working under Linux, and we are grateful to the ISA experts for their work and support. They quickly organized the transition to the implemented solution and, which is especially valuable, retained the standard mode of operation of our main services. As a result, together with the operating system, IT specialists of medical organizations gained useful practical experience in implementing and administering Astra Linux, as well as adapting it to specific user tasks.
