The results of the pilot project showed that the equipment BioSmart meets all the requirements of the legislation in the field of ensuring the safety of transport infrastructure facilities.

The most convenient biometric modality in the conditions of the metro turned out to be palm veins, so it was this type of biometric identification that was later used in the organization of MCUD.

Among the advantages of the technology is the inalienability of the identifier (the venous pattern is more complicated than the fingerprint; it is impossible to forget it at home, lose or transfer it to a colleague, like an RFID card), as well as protection against forgery (palm veins are not visible in natural light, which means it is almost impossible to fake an identifier).

As of June 2021, each station of the Yekaterinburg Metro is equipped with a terminal for identification by palm veins and RFID cards BioSmart PV-WTC. The terminals are installed at the points of passage to the office premises, where administrative facilities and engineering infrastructure are located.

The equipment is combined into a single system using the Biosmart-Studio software environment, employee biometric identifiers are loaded into a single database. Access to office space is granted to users according to their tolerance level or work schedule.
