2021: Appointment as Acronis CEO
On July 7, 2021, Acronis announced the appointment of Patrick Pulvermüller as the new CEO. He officially assumed new duties on July 1.
Pulvermüller replaced Sergei Belousov, who founded the company in 2003 and has been the general director since 2013. Belousov will remain a member of the board of directors and will take the director of research. He will focus on the company's advanced technologies, including autonomous research, data management, cyber networks, cyber platform and corporate solutions, as well as developing a program for interacting with universities, Acronis said in a press release.
Patrick Pulvermüller moved to Acronis from the GoDaddy domain registrar, where he headed the company's partner business. In this position, he oversaw projects to expand hosting services, increase productivity and security with the involvement of resellers and partner agencies.
As the head of Acronis, Pulvermüller will focus on strengthening Acronis relations with managed service providers (MSPs), managed security service providers (MSSPs), hosting partners, cloud aggregators, cloud aggregators, telecom operators, etc. By July 2021, the company has about 50 thousand partners in more than 150 countries.
Pulvermüller, commenting on the plans as Acronis CEO, noted that the company will "redefine" how service providers will use the capabilities of remote monitoring and management (RMM) and professional services automation (PSA). At the same time, he did not disclose any details about the development of PSA and RMM products.
Given Patrick's demonstrated experience in helping fast-growing companies scale and proven success in a channel-oriented environment, we are confident that he will accelerate Acronis' success and prepare the company for the next stage, "said Acronis Chairman Rene Bonwani.[1] |
