2023: Completion of the implementation of the system of automatic control of the tightness of the doors of coke batteries

At the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant, a pilot was completed to introduce a digital system for automatic control of the tightness of coke battery doors. VideoMatrix (Videomatrix) announced this on May 30, 2023. This is how the company introduces a systematic approach to reducing emissions and improves working conditions in coke chemical production. The solution is based on the domestic video analytics Vmx Dequs: ECO.

The closing density of the coke battery doors affects both the emission and the quality of the resulting coke. Previously, visual inspection of the doors of coke batteries was carried out by employees. Now artificial intelligence has come to the rescue.

Within the framework of the project at NLMK, integrated software Vmx Dequs: ECO which uses tools, artificial intelligence mathematical algorithms and specially created methodology for tracking objects. The combination of technologies gave 95% accuracy. The system provided reliable recognition and recording of emissions database with photos and detailed information. This made it possible to analyze statistics data individually for each door. As a result of eliminating the leakage of the doors of coke batteries, emission was reduced by five times. Based on this data, the work of repair teams is monitored, repairs, cleaning, replacement of doors, corrective measures in the future are planned.

2021: Implementation of Vmx Dequs: ECO-based atmospheric emission control system

On July 8, 2021, VideoMatrix announced the implementation of a project at the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant to introduce a system for controlling emissions into the atmosphere using video analytics based on Vmx Dequs software.

Based on algorithmic machine learning, the service conducts online monitoring of the company's emission into the atmosphere. The solution reduces the response time to deviations, and the deep incident analysis system allows you to prevent their occurrence.
