On July 13, 2021, it became known that Uwe Hochgeshurtz, who holds the post of General Director of the regional division of Renault (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), was appointed General Director of the Opel brand . He takes office on September 1, 2021. The German brand of Stellantis Group as of July 2021 is expanding its commercial activities - including in China - and is actively entering the era of electric mobility. Uwe Hochgeshurtz will replace Michael Loscheller, who decided to continue his professional activities outside the Stellantis Group.
