2021: First Russian medium-duty electric truck developed

In mid-July 2021, it became known about an electric truck developed by Drive Electro. A plant is being built for its serial production.

The publication notes that the new Drive Electro product is the first Russian medium-duty electric truck. According to Ivanov, the car will be completely electric, the mileage on one charge will be about 200 km. This will be the first production car to be produced at the Drive Electro plant in Zelenograd. Its construction will be completed in May-June 2022, after which the company produces a pilot batch, said the head of Drive Electro. The average production volume will be about 500 cars.

Earlier in 2021, the company announced that it would build a plant near Moscow capable of producing a thousand electric trucks per year. The series will have several models - both heavy trucks with a maximum permissible weight of 19 tons, and lighter vehicles. Electric trucks are planned to be produced under their own brand Drive Electro.^[1]
