Education
In 2010 he graduated from the Russian Law Academy of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.
Career
2012-2019
From December 2012 to September 2015, he worked in the legal department of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation, headed the department for the development of a single information space and legal support for information protection issues.
In September 2015, he began working at the Central Bank. At the Bank of Russia, Zimin served as deputy director of the financial technology department, and on July 24, 2018 he began to act as director of this department.
On August 1, 2019, Ivan Zimin headed the financial technology department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. Under his leadership, the infrastructure of digital profile and remote biometric identification of customers of banks and other financial organizations was launched, as well as a regulatory sandbox for testing new financial services and technologies, a regulatory base for the development of digital financial assets was formed, many other state-level projects necessary for the development of the financial market and client services were implemented.
2021: Appointment to the position of Vice President for the Introduction of Innovative State Technologies at Tinkoff
On July 21, 2021, Tinkoff announced the appointment of Ivan Zimin to the post of vice president for the introduction of innovative state technologies and services. In this position, the ex-head of the fintech department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation will develop partnerships with government agencies and will ensure the presence of the group in state fintech projects and digital services, the credit institution said.
The main areas for work, which Ivan Zimin will do, included the preparation and promotion of Tinkoff group initiatives to create and develop services and technological solutions for the state, as well as the promotion of the group's image as one of the industry leaders in the formation of the agenda and directions for the development of services, services and technologies in the market.[1]
