Explosive growth of students with a paid form of education after the start of the military special operation of Russia

In 2021, about 22,000 male students aged 20-29 entered the paid tuition contract, and in 2022 - already 65,200, that is, more than 40,000 more.

For the age category of 30-39 years in 2021 there were only about 2,200 contract students, in 2022 - already 30,300, the increase was more than 28,000 people.

There were about 900 contract workers over 40 years old in 2021, and in 2022 there were 15,000, the number of students of this age increased by more than 14,000.

191 thousand Ukrainian children are studying in Poland during the military conflict

According to the Ministry, formations Poland available at the end of 2022, over 191 thousand refugee children attend Polish schools. Three times as many are trained online without any educational support and integration with local ones.

According to the Ministry of Education, out of 1.5 million refugees remaining in the republic, 700-800 thousand are women and almost the same number are children. This means that only 25% of children attend Polish schools.

Now, in general, the resources of Poles and the government are being depleted, and therefore assistance to refugees is being reduced.

The Polish Ministry of Education says that children from Ukraine are accepted into schools and kindergartens on the same conditions as the Poles. And according to the documents, everything is so. The Law on Education clarifies that the responsibilities of education and care in state kindergartens, primary and secondary schools should be fulfilled in relation to all children, including those who are not citizens of Poland.

However, at the end of March 2022, the head of the educational department Przemyslaw Charnek issued a decree according to which the state does not take responsibility for Ukrainian students who continue to study in the Ukrainian education system remotely. In Kyiv, they categorically insist that those who left do not drop out in their country.

In addition, the Polish department immediately indicated: if someone enters a Polish school, he will participate in the local education system. That is, he will study national literature, biology and mathematics only in Polish.

Ukrainian children who entered local schools had to take exams in Polish. They received instructions translated into Ukrainian, but the test itself was from the main curriculum of Poland.
