The transport and expeditionary company Major Cargo Service has switched to automatic verification of the reliability of customers and suppliers using the Contour.Focus API. This was announced on July 27, 2021 by SKB Kontur. Thanks to the service, the company has already decided to terminate work with 3% of active suppliers and was able to get information on time that 14 customers are in bankruptcy or liquidation.

Major Cargo Service needs to monitor negative changes in the status of partners that are being worked with on a repayment in order to avoid the growth of receivables. Per year, the company needs to check 7.5 thousand new counterparties, about 8.5 thousand need rechecking.

Data obtained through the service allows you to analyze the current state of the client and generate recommendations for working with it. After the check is started, a table appears on the screen, which lists all the markers that worked, the weight of each of them (from 1 to 5 points), as well as the overall rating. The significance of each marker in the company was determined independently - taking into account the specifics of the business.

An individual evaluation system has also been developed for suppliers, focusing on the prevention of tax risks. In cases where markers are triggered that do not allow an unambiguous conclusion about the reliability of the company, the manager sends a letter to the quality department for a deeper check. At this stage, experts conduct a manual analysis so as not to miss a single significant factor.

Major Cargo Service took as a basis the verification and evaluation logic developed by the project team API Contour. Focus, and adapted it to their own needs. The company added factors important to it: for example, the marker "number of employees in the staff" and some specific criteria that relate to financial reporting.
