Abbyy was exhausted with the ERP system of Microsoft and replaced it with 1C

The ABBYY company completed ERP system implementation "1C: Enterprise 8.2". In the message which Abbyy and system integrator of the project extended 1C-Rarus, it is said that on a decision instant about project implementation at head office ABBYY "the western automation system" was operated.

In this system the accounting functionality, specific to Russia, was implemented partially, a number of necessary transactions was not supported, updates at changes of the legislation was made with insufficient efficiency.

Besides, there were regularly difficulties with development and maintenance of the ERP system of Microsoft – 90% of changes of functionality of ABBYY were necessary to implement by forces of own IT – specialists. At the same time a system had the high cost of support, 20% a year of the cost of licenses, customers claim.

According to TAdviser, for benefit of a product of 1C Abbyy refused the Microsoft Dynamics AX system which it used about five years before. The decision to implement Axapta was made in 2003. As integrator of the project then the Moscow company "ATK consulting group" acted.

As a result of implementation of the ERP system of Microsoft in Abbyy more than 100 jobs and standard tasks, such as sales management, by purchases, stocks, production, personnel, accounting and tax accounting, personnel records, payroll, cash management, settlement and the reporting under IFRS were automated.

The financial director of ABBYY Vadim Tereshchenko is glad to migration results with Microsoft Dynamics AX on 1C: Enterprise 8.2.

"11 people worked at implementation of the previous system at us, and real start happened only in a year (and we conducted completions also after start)", - the ERP project manager of ABBYY company Oleg Lekuchev says. On implementation of 1C, according to him, was only three specialists and already in half a year it was succeeded to start test operation. Today support is performed by forces of only two programmers, Lekuchev adds. Further efforts will be reduced even more, he is sure.

"We received effective, inexpensive in service and constantly updated system. Significantly, almost twice, expenses on maintenance fell, the efficiency of accounting increased", - the chief financial officer of ABBYY Vadim Tereshchenko noted.

Investments into the project of the party do not open. The source familiar with the implementation course announced TAdviser that the choice of the platform for a new system was performed between SAP solutions, Oracle and 1C.
