At the Novinki airfield (UUDN) in the Serpukhov district of the Moscow region, a project was introduced to fuel small aircraft around the clock without the participation of a tanker. This was announced on August 6, 2021 by Smart Technology. The technical solution allows you to purchase fuel for aircraft directly on the territory of the gas station using the Benzuber application, to which 7,000 gas stations throughout Russia have connected since 2017. The developer of the solution is Smart Technologies from Yekaterinburg, which has patents for innovative methods of refueling vehicles at fuel and gas complexes.

Being at the Novinki airfield, the pilot of a small aircraft can fly to the refueling complex, launch the Benzuber application from a smartphone, select the necessary amount of fuel, pay for it without leaving the cockpit through the application, refuel and continue the flight. The peculiarity of the solution is that the time from download of the application to departure can take a matter of minutes. Previously, pilots had to first buy fuel cards in the administrative building of the airfield and after that steer to the gas station. With the introduction of this technical solution, the filling process was significantly simplified and accelerated.

The introduced solution allows you to automate the operation of small aviation airports, increasing their efficiency by reducing the cost of additional personnel, which was previously required to pay for cash settlement services.

According to Benzuber statistics, on average, at the Novinki airfield, each pilot refills an aircraft in the range of 100 to 200 liters of fuel before take-off. It can be both aviation gasoline and kerosene.

Automation of payment process at filling complexes located at airfields of small aviation allows to reduce costs and increase their profitability. We hope that with this we are contributing to the revival of the once popular mode of transport, which we cannot do without in the expanses of our immense homeland.
