Acronis Disk Director 11 Home

In June, 2010 the Acronis company announced the new version of the product Acronis Disk Director 11 Home, generic collection of tools for the management of sections of hard drives focused on consumer market.

Acronis Disk Director 11 Home will ensure stable and productive functioning of the user systems and guarantees data security, stored on the hard drive of the home PC. These tools can be used for separation and merge of volumes, change of their sizes and the solution of other standard tasks connected with service of the hard drive.

Thanks to support of dynamic disks (Dynamic Disk) users of Acronis Disk Director 11 Home can distribute volumes between several physical disks, add mirrored volumes and manage them. Support of disks of high capacity and a possibility of creation of volumes with the size more 2nd terabyte is provided. The built-in mechanisms of disk cloning will allow to execute replacement of the carrier without reinstallation of the operating system and applications. The new user interface will simplify accomplishment of standard transactions with disks and disk sections. In a product support of the Windows 7 operating system is implemented (including 64-bit versions).

The product gives an opportunity of installation of several operating systems on one personal computer. Users will be able to work with the new version of Windows and to use older versions of OS for start of legacy applications. Acronis Disk Director 11 Home also supplements functionality of the product Acronis True Image Home 2010, backup system and data recovery. Using Acronis Disk Director the user can organize data storage and applications in different hard drive partitions. For security of important information it will be rather regular to execute backup of the section with data.

Acronis Disk Director 11 Home works running the Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 operating systems and supports all widespread file systems, including FAT 16, FAT 32, NTFS, Ext2, Ext3, Reiser FS3 and Linux SWAP.
