The national telecom operator, Synterra company, completed project management system implementation based on Microsoft SharePoint Server. The project is implemented by AND Project company.
The project management system developed by the system integrator provides operational interaction of commercial and technical services of the client when implementing large-scale telecommunication projects. The solution allowed company management to control online the course of projects, execution of standards and regulations. System implementation gave the chance in addition to reduce project deadlines at high-quality preserving of the provided services.
According to Andrey Bugayenko, the CIO of Synterra company, need of automation of basic processes in the field of project management was caused by rapid growth of the company in different sectors of the telecommunication market. In the conditions of rapid growth of business additional tools for high-quality support of work with Customers and in the long term were required today. Additional control points and expanded means of obtaining the analytical reporting allowed to increase quality of work of divisions and, as a result, quality of communication services provision to clients of the company.
The project is executed within creation of a common information space of all divisions participating in sales process and rendering of services. Automation of work of project management department reduced load of Exchange Server, lowered time spent by employees for reports and a documentary design. The uniform information warehouse about projects was created, there was an opportunity to quickly receive the reporting online that as a result increased controllability project lifecycle of rendering of services.
The implemented system was integrated with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM system which is already functioning in the company that allowed to facilitate process of approval of the project documentation.
The project is executed in six months. In a work progress the system prototype on the basis of which training of employees and also further improvement of the solution was conducted was provided to the customer. Trial operation lasted 2 months. All functions of a system were during this time smoothly running, additional training is provided and some completions, according to wishes of users of a system from different departments are made.
