Appointment as Head of the Digital Development Committee of the Leningrad Region

On August 10, 2021, the Digital Development Committee of the Leningrad Region announced the appointment of Andrei Sytnik to the post of head. He replaced Denis Zolkov, who headed the committee for less than a year.

The Governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, commenting on the appointment of Sytnik, noted that the new head of the regional IT committee "knows what needs to be done in matters of digitalization, has the right, healthy ambitions and the desire to achieve results." Which, in turn, will make it possible to make a qualitative leap in the development of digitalization of the Leningrad region.

Talking about the prospects for the development of the industry, Andrei Sytnik said that the region needs to "reach digital maturity as early as possible." To do this, in his opinion, it is necessary to form modern digital services that are understandable and accessible to residents and organizations of the Leningrad Region. By August 2021, about 70 information systems are operating in the region.
