History
The history of the Electric Shield enterprise began during the period of industrialization in the USSR and is closely connected with the start of construction of the Kuibyshev hydroelectric complex in 1937. In the area of the summer cottage village of Krasnaya Glinka near the city of Kuibyshev in 1938, workshops were erected to repair construction equipment serving the hydroelectric complex. During the Great Patriotic War, many industrial enterprises that were endangered during the enemy offensive were evacuated to the deep rear, including the Kuibyshev region. Many of the evacuated enterprises were located on the bases of existing industrial facilities. One of these facilities was the repair shops of the village of Krasnaya Glinka, which by that time were already fulfilling various defense orders. For the speedy commissioning of evacuated aircraft factories, the workshops were reorganized into plant No. 4 of the NKVD Logistics Directorate. July 14, 1943 - the official date of foundation of the Samara Electric Shield plant. Mechanical workshops have become a large machine-building plant that solves state-scale problems.
After the war ended, in 1945, the construction of new workshops of the Elektroshchit plant, as well as residential buildings for its workers, began. At that time, the main workshops were foundry, mechanical, tractor, electrode and metal structures. In 1949, the plant was transferred to Glavgidrostroy. The company was repurposed for the production of new products for the construction of the Volga-Don Canal, and later the Tsimlyanskaya and Kuibyshev hydroelectric power stations. In the early fifties, plant No. 4 became the main repair and mechanical base for the construction of the Kuibyshev hydroelectric station. Earth-moving equipment was repaired here, the necessary metal structures, pipes, cast iron, electrodes for cooking, etc., were made. KGES orders accounted for more than 80% of the volume of all products produced by the enterprise. It was on Krasnaya Glinka that the floating bridge was made, from which the Volga River was blocked on June 8, 1957.
In 1968, the company was entrusted with mastering the production of oil for the construction of the Volga Automobile Plant. In the same year, the first profile bending mill of the French company Comec was launched at the Electric Shield in the USSR. Production of corrugated profile, window bindings, wall partitions, special fasteners and other products is established. Subsequently, the construction structures of the enterprise were supplied to the construction of the KamAZ, Atommash plants and tens of thousands of other most important facilities for the country. In 1974, a panel and coating workshop was commissioned. The company rapidly mastered the production of light building structures.
In 1975 the English line of coloring of rolled metal rolling of REDMAN and the line of production three-layer sandwich panels with polyurethane foam Elastogran filler is started. Since the late 70s, the plant began to produce widely sought-after consumer goods: kiosks, shopping pavilions, greenhouses and trailers. In 1988, a mill for the production of construction profiles for the installation of gypsum board was launched. In 1989, the production of small-sized garages for cars, the so-called "shells," was established. During this period, "Electric Shield" on its own manufactured and launched a mill for the production of SS 10, which is successfully functioning so far.
By 2001, Elektroshchit further expanded the nomenclature of products due to the production of widely sought-after construction profiles, prefabricated wall and roof panels, siding and facade facing systems, as well as spillway systems. In December 2001, a line began to produce sandwich panels with filler from basalt mineral wool from the Australian company Hilleng. For Russia, these were the first truly modern panels with non-combustible insulation. In the same year, the plant installed a two-tier mill of the Finnish company Samesor for the production of metal pieces.
In 2004, Elektroshchit was one of the first in Russia to organize the production of mineral wool for sandwich panels based on basalt fiber. In 2007, the production of construction goods was allocated to a separate division - Samara Electric Shield Plant - Stroyindustriya CJSC with a new production site located in the village of Alekseevka, Kinelsky District, Samara Region. In 2011, Samara Electric Shield Plant launched the German Hennecke line for the production of sandwich panels with insulation from polyurethane foam and polyisocyanurate foam, which today are among the best in their thermophysical and strength characteristics.
In 2017, the Elektroshchit-Stroysystem enterprise, created on the basis of Samara Elektroshchit-Stroyindustriya ZAO, not only continues to maintain the constant quality and high level of service in customer service, but also improves established traditions and introduces new solutions to maintain the company's existing market share and promote plant products not only in Russia, but also abroad. Today, Elektrotit Stroysystem produces painted rolled stock, various types of metal structures, including LSTK, construction profiles, professional steel, sandwich panels, metal casting, side elements, a block of containers, stripes, etc.
