2021: Application of intelligent simulator

The holding "Technodinamika" of the State Corporation Rostec created an intelligent simulator that trains the production and repair of ammunition for RZSO "Grad" in virtual reality. The equipment has already begun to be used at the Bryansk Chemical Plant. Rostec announced this on August 13, 2021.

The VR system thoroughly reproduces the work processes, the specifics of working with special tools, and even the peculiarities of materials. The VR kit includes a virtual reality helmet, gloves and controllers - a sensor of hand movement.

Training on the simulator takes place in two stages. The first is training. At this stage, the equipment generates practical assembly skills. The second is verification. This step is designed to test the knowledge gained in the first step.

The state corporation pays great attention to improving personnel training methods, including in the field of production of products for military-industrial complex. The VR simulator will simplify the training of new employees and halve the length of study. The decision will allow enterprise personnel to work out the algorithms of technological operations, "stuffing their hand" in a virtual environment, and start real production, knowing all its aspects, which is especially important in the production of ammunition, "said Rostec's industrial director of the cluster of weapons, ammunition and special chemistry Bekhan Ozdoev.

The new equipment is used both individually and in the group. The VR simulator has already been introduced at the Bryansk Chemical Plant, which is part of the management circuit of the Technodinamika holding of Rostec State Corporation.
