2022: Certification of the aviary "Rumba" for managing the ship's course

The company Sitronics KT (part of Sitronics Group) announced on September 2, 2022, the development of a system for automatic steering, including holding at a vessels given course. Now the Russian market has a fully domestic copyright, certified in. Russian Maritime Register of Shipping

The autowire allows to provide an automatic control mode at a given heading for full operation of the bridge system of the vessel. It includes a control panel, interface devices, reverse sensors communications and a computing device. The control panel and its user interface are proprietary developments of the company.

"Bearing" provides direct control of steering machines and propeller columns, as well as interfacing with the steering system of the ship. Manual and adaptive adjustment of the autorail parameters is provided: control at different speeds, with different loading of the vessel and variable wind-wave disturbances, taking into account the minimization of the number of shifts of the rudder feather. This adjustment provides the necessary accuracy for keeping the ship heading. The dimensions of the panel comply with foreign standards of ship automation.

Various modes are provided in the aviary: from holding a given heading or heading angle to controlling the ship along a given trajectory together with an electronic cartographic system navigationalinformation (ECNIS). The solution is applicable on any vessels equipped with both steering machines and propeller columns.

Certified copyright is part of the ecosystem of import-substituting solutions for shipping. Rumba integrates with other developments of the company, for example, with its own EKNIS BERING, an autonomous navigation system. All decisions on technical and economic characteristics are competitive, complement each other, which gives us the opportunity to comprehensively equip Russian vessels,
commented on Sitronics KT CEO, Andrey Rodionov.

The integration of the aviary "Rumb" into the ship control system allows for complex maneuvers. For example, in a situation of saving a person on water, it is necessary to accurately enter a given course, taking into account external wind-wave disturbances, which allows you to reduce the time spent performing the maneuver. With the combined use of the autorail and Sitronics KT developed speed stabilization system, it is possible to provide not only a given course, but also the necessary speed for a more accurate maneuver.

2021: Rumba System Presentation

On August 18, 2021, Sitronics KT announced that it was creating the Rumba autorail to control the ship's course and move along a given trajectory.

The aviobular includes a control panel, devices for mating with steering machines or propeller columns, reverse sensors communications and a computing device.

The control panel and its video interface are proprietary developments of the company. For August 2021, mechanical and climatic tests of the autorail have been completed, its certification is being carried out in the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping as a ship course control system. Certification is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021.

Various modes will be provided in the system: from keeping a given heading or heading angle, to controlling the ship along a given trajectory together with the electronic cartographic navigation and information system (ECNIS). The solution is applicable on any vessels equipped with both steering machines and propeller columns.

The aviary is part of the ecosystem of our decisions and is important for the full provision of the bridge system of ship control. "Rumba" integrates with our other developments: with our own ECNIS, with our integrated navigation system "BERING." All our decisions complement each other, which allows us to equip turnkey vessels, "commented Andrey Rodionov, General Director of Sitronics KT.
