Supply of the first two Lion Trams

The Russian developer and manufacturer of urban electric transport - PC Transport Systems (PC TS) - on August 26, 2021 announced the supply of the first two single-section fully low-floor trams 71-911EM Lionwenok to Cherepovets.

Cherepovets was the first of four cities in Russia to receive modern low-floor trams as part of the Clean Air project of the Ecology national project. Rolling stock has already been run in on the city lines. The first passengers were the governor of the Vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov, the head of the city Vadim Germanov and the general director of PK Transport Systems Alexander Dubrovkin.

Delivery plan for 11 Lwenok trams

The company "PC Transport Systems" on August 20, 2021 announced that it would deliver 11 trams to Cherepovets.

The Russian developer and manufacturer of modern urban electric transport "PC Transport Systems" showed the mayor of Cherepovets Vadim Germanov single-section fully low-floor trams 71-911EM "Lionwenok," which will soon appear on the streets of the city.

Vadim Germanov, as well as candidate for deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexei Kanaev, director of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Elektrotrans Cherepovets Alexander Travin got acquainted with the process of assembling and testing rolling stock, including checking all high-voltage systems, testing for tightness in the sprinkling chamber, and also personally evaluated the quality of the trip on the tram along the containment line.

The Vologda Oblast received funds for the purchase of trams for the city from the federal budget as part of the participation in the Clean Air project of the Ecology national project. The shipment of trams to the customer is planned to begin in the near future.

Model 71-911EM "Lion" is a completely low-floor single-section tram. The heart of the tram is a low-floor rotary trolley of its own design and production "PC Transport Systems." It allowed the creation of a completely low-floor single-section tram car.

In terms of comfort, the Lviv can easily compete with a private car. Light, spacious interior, ergonomic interior, 40 comfortable console seats, USB sockets for charging mobile devices, media complex. The climate control system provides cool on hot days of summer and warm in cold seasons. The interior is made using aluminum alloys, which makes it durable and fireproof.

The completely low floor of the tram and wide door passages significantly accelerate passenger traffic at stops. This allows you to reduce the travel time of the tram route and increase their operational efficiency several times. The installed passive safety system minimizes the risks of injuries to the driver and passengers, as well as reduces the resulting damage to equipment in the event of an emergency collision. Also, the tram is equipped with an autonomous running system and can overcome up to 1 km without connecting to the contact network.

In addition, the tram has systems for active and passive assistance to the driver when driving a tram car, an external video control system for passenger landing and disembarkation zones and monitoring the road situation. For passengers with limited mobility, a folding ramp is provided, an area for attaching a wheelchair with a driver call button.
