2021: Add voice navigation languages and personalized route settings

The mapping and navigation application Petal Maps has received an update. Now a set of services and options are available to users of the service that will allow them to easily plan a comfortable journey. This was announced on September 1, 2021 by Huawei Russia (Huawei).

In order to make the user experience convenient and complete, the Petal Maps service has expanded the ability to build a route. Now you can map up to 8 transit points, which allows you to plan the road. And if the route has changed, irrelevant coordinates can be easily and quickly deleted, then the application will rebuild the path based on the necessary stops. In addition, users can set up travel by preference. They can choose a route that will be convenient exactly. The Petal Maps service will help determine the fastest or shortest route, a route with a bypass of toll roads or ferries and much more.

In the updated version of Petal Maps, the option of reviewing the road situation has appeared, which will be convenient for both motorists and cyclists, as well as for pedestrians. After choosing a route, the application will evaluate the state of congestion of roads, highlight traffic lights and their designations on the map, and also determine the nearest above-ground crossings and bridges. This will allow transport drivers to assess the path and build a safe route, and pedestrians will simplify movement around the city.

Also, in the updated version of Petal Maps, the voice navigation function was replenished with 14 languages. As of September 2021, the application supports 40 languages. And if voice tracking is not required during movement, users can now easily remove sound.

Lovers of interesting urban landscapes and travelers can use the TripAdvisor guide integrated into Petal Maps. Now users will have the opportunity to get information about interesting and "unlocked" places and must-visit sights without leaving the Petal Maps application. Also, for more realistic images inside the application, Petal Maps has the option to configure sky simulation on the horizon.

And also, especially for adherents of hiking, a calorie counter was built into the Petal Maps map. Now you can choose a non-trivial path to an interesting location in pedestrian mode, enjoy the route and simultaneously calculate the number of calories burned.
