2021: Adapting Cyber Gloves to Control Industrial Robots

Printosens startup Nanocenter Mordovia has adapted a cyber glove to control industrial robots. This was reported by Rusnano on September 3, 2021.

The developers of the company released a second version of cyber gloves and created software for management, robotics for example, working underwater and in laboratories with high risks to the safety of employees. Previously, the device was used only VRAR for/- programs with entertainment and. educational content

The cyber glove has a universal Bluetooth 5.0 interface for wireless connection to a mobile device or computer. The software is able to integrate with the management programs of various mechanisms.

A distinctive feature is the absence of wire connections between electronic components inside the glove, which significantly improves ergonomics and increases the reliability of the device. All five printed bend sensors, accelerometer, magnetometer and gyroscope are connected to each other by current-conducting tracks made by method of printed electronics on flexible polymer substrate.

2020: Making Cyber Gloves for VR

On June 2, 2020, it became known that the Printosens company from the Center for Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials of the Republic of Mordovia made cyber gloves for VR with printed electronics elements. Finger movements are fixed by crease sensors developed by specialists of the Center, which are part of gloves. The Mordovian Nanocenter is part of the investment network of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs (FIOP) of the Rusnano Group.

The company's specialists have developed a turnkey project, from prototyping bend sensors and printed circuit boards to designing and sewing the glove itself. Cyber gloves created by the startup without wires will allow you to control with the help of gestures various objects inside VR programs: educational and entertainment content, games, engineering and other specialized programs[1].
