On August 12, 2021, a cooperation agreement was signed in Sochi between Municipal Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal in Sochi and Mitsubishi Electric LLC (RUS). This was announced on September 3, 2021 by Mitsubishi Electric (RUS).

According to the company, the general director of Mitsubishi Electric in Russia, Mr. Onoda Hiroyuki, first visited Sochi to meet with the head of Vodokanal Anton Denisov and sign the Cooperation Agreement between Mitsubishi Electric and Municipal Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal in Sochi. During the event, the first leaders also discussed strategic plans for further interaction.

Within six months, specialists of Municipal Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal in Sochi tested the equipment of a number of manufacturers, according to the results of which they concluded a cooperation agreement with Mitsubishi Electric.

Within the framework of the Agreement, representatives of Mitsubishi Electric are planned to participate in the work of the expert advisory council for the exchange of international experience in the field of water management. As well as seminars where Mitsubishi Electric technicians will talk about developments in intelligent water supply management systems, which are based on numerous algorithms for optimal control and diagnostics of equipment operation modes, artificial intelligence, digital doubles, fuzzy logic.

Effective management of such a structure becomes possible only with a flexible and multifunctional solution, the basic unit of which is a high-quality connection between these objects. A well-organized data transmission system, which enables timely and reliable process information and management, is one of the key elements of control systems in the field. Thanks to the development of information technologies, the organization of high-quality communication has become not only possible, but also fully economically justified. To test reliability, Vodokanal employees assembled a control system for the first lift station based on the Mitsubishi Electric components.

As part of the meeting, employees of Municipal Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal in Sochi conducted excursions to water facilities, the leaders exchanged memorable souvenirs and planned a joint pilot project to modernize the sludge processing station.
