At the end of 2020, the Moscow Exchange and GlowByte implemented a pilot project to calculate liquidity metrics for marketmaking programs. For the pilot, the company chose DataProc - PaaS - a solution from Yandex.Cloud for big data based on Hadoop technology. The company GlowByte announced this on September 6, 2021.

In November 2020, the question arose of finding a solution that would allow you to flexibly manage performance based on needs and SLA (Service Level Agreement).

Thanks to the partnership between GlowByte and Yandex.Cloud, in two months it was possible to adapt calculation algorithms for Spark distributed computing technology on impersonal data. This allowed you to control the calculation time by adjusting the computing power of the node and the total number of nodes in the computing cluster.

The implementation of the project allowed the Moscow Exchange not only to find a solution and meet the required SLA, but also to rationally use computing power, due to the selection of the optimal equipment configuration according to the ratio of the efficiency of calculations to TCO infrastructure.
