"Eight" is a live home training application launched in 2020. By September 2021, 70 fitness trainers in 28 cities of Russia were connected to the platform. The service implements a one to many group class model, when an unlimited number of users can connect to the training. Monetization occurs at the expense of a commission from customer payments. At the same time, the user can purchase classes piece by piece, the cost of each from 140 rubles. The user can connect to any training session and engage in 8 minutes free of charge. After this time, the user decides whether to continue the training for money.
History
2021: Raising 20 million rubles
On September 8, 2021, it became known about investing 20 million rubles in the Eight service. Private investors invested in it as part of the pre-seed round, who estimated the startup at 100 million rubles. This is the first investment round for the company.
In the "Eight" application, the focus is on the pleasure of users from the process of classes as the basis of motivation, while the company abandoned the traditional emphasis for fitness applications on the result and measurement of achievements, said the founder of the company Konstantin Vetoshkin.
According to him, the application contains game mechanics, the ability to preview training, as well as chat, where users are given the opportunity after training to share their impressions with each other and with the coach.
