2021: UL5630

On September 9, 2021, Acer introduced a laser ultra-short-focus projector from the UL: Acer UL5630 line on the Russian market. This solution belongs to the business-class device segment. It is flexibly customizable, conveniently controlled, and environmentally protected according to IP6X.

Highlights

  • Ultra-short focus laser optics allows you to project a high-quality picture up to 120 inches from a distance of only 30 cm to the wall.
  • Native WUXGA resolution (1920x1200) and 4K2K resolution allow you to broadcast high-definition widescreen projections.
  • The brightness of the luminous flux up to 4500 lumens and the expansion of the HDR color range give a bright and contrasting projection even in daylight, as well as deep drawing of details and clarity of lines.
  • Laser diode-based projection technology shows stable brightness and natural color rendering, allowing you to reduce energy consumption by 30% compared to lamp projectors.
  • The ability to output a projection at any angle in the 360-degree spectrum along with distortion correction technology allows you to use a projector in spaces with a specific layout.
  • IP6X certification eliminates the ingress of dust and other fine particles into the body of the device, which provides high reliability in operation.
  • The guaranteed service life reaches 20,000 hours in standard mode, even if the projector is operated 24 hours a day in 24/7 mode.
  • Integrated control system Crestron for remote monitoring, setting the projector on/off schedule, and transmitting and distributing audio/video signals.

Image Quality

The Acer UL5630 ultra-short-focus laser projector, designed to output images at short distances, has an up-to-date design, support for WUXGA wide-format resolution (1920x1200 points) and a bright light flux of up to 4500 lumens. Such a projector will fit well into the format of a training audience or exhibition complex, while not burdened by the complexity of installation and operation.

The high brightness of the luminous flux gives the conclusion of a clear and structural projection with good drawing of details even with daylight within audiences with panoramic windows. The use of a laser diode allows you to achieve natural color rendering, and the high 2,000,000:1 contrast setting and support for HDR technology to dynamically expand the color range provides deeper shade rendering and adds naturalness to the output image.

Features and Technologies

Designed to ensure interactivity in lecture sessions, Acer UL5630 combines all the functions that are important for educational organizations. So, in addition to short-focus projection, there is 3D support and the ability to output images via Wi-Fi. And due to the low input delay, the media content is quickly transmitted to the device and is broadcast synchronously with the wireless signal source.

In addition, the projector provides for the possibility of correcting trapezoidal distortions that occur when the projection is displayed on a plane at an angle of up to +/-5 ° horizontally and vertically. Correction is performed both automatically and in manual mode. And so that the audience does not distract anything from getting acquainted with the presentation content, the Acer UL5630 also shows a low noise level - only 28 dB in IVF mode.

24/7 operation and reliability

The Acer UL5630 has a number of features that affect the extension time of the projector. Among them is the IVF mode and function designed energy saving to save consumption up to electricity 40% and increase the life of the laser diode.

The Acer UL5630 supports polygonal projection technology, allowing you to find the best angle to demonstrate broadcast content on the wall and ceiling. This makes the device flexible in use, even when placed in classrooms and halls with a non-standard layout: for example, dome ceilings or diagonal walls.

Since the Acer UL5630 is a High-End solution, it provides 24/7 business centers, as well as exhibition and presentation halls. The projector design eliminates the possibility of overheating the light source and other components of the element base with round-the-clock activity. In economical mode, the device will work 30,000 hours and up to 20,000 hours in standard.

Connect and Manage

An analog component D-Sub and Mini-DIN connector, two HDMI digital ports, and a set of RCA inputs are available as physical input sources located on the interface panel. Control of the projector from the PC is possible through the asynchronous interface RS-232 and when connecting the optional Wi-Fi-dongle. And to connect the columns, a 3.5-mm socket is provided, and two speakers act as standard acoustics here, with a capacity of 10 Watts each, which allows the projector to create a saturated acoustic picture in stereo format.

Remote control is implemented on the basis of the Crestron software complex, which allows you to interact with the projector and configure the image through an Internet connection. The web utility for the Crestron Flash Utility PC is designed to connect to the broadcast device through the local network, and the multi-user program Crestron RoomView provides remote support for troubleshooting, lighting control, power supply and other parameters. In addition, with the help of software, you can configure the switching on and off of the projector according to the schedule.

Price and availability

The Acer UL5630 laser projector as of September 9, 2021 is available on the Russian market at the recommended retail price from 199,990 rubles.
