The company AspenTech announced on September 9, 2021 that the Australian gold mining company Evolution Mining introduced Aspen Mtell software at Mungari Gold Operations in western Australia, in order to reduce unplanned downtime and collect data to improve performance.

Evolution's Data Business Improvement (DEBI) strategy has yielded excellent results in recent years. With Mungari Gold Operations, you can further improve performance by increasing asset availability, said Greg Walker, CEO of Evolution Mining Mungari.

Evolution Mining has applied a rigorous independent approach to testing Aspen Mtell software on multiple pieces of equipment on two of its key manufacturing assets before deciding to deploy in real time. The software collects historical and operational operation and maintenance data to detect accurate failure signatures that precede asset degradation and equipment breakdowns, predict future failures, and prescribe detailed actions to mitigate or resolve problems through predictive and prescriptive maintenance.

Performance management of production assets helps customers pre-calculate activities and make decisions during the asset lifecycle maintenance phase.
