2021: Development of a complex for high-precision forecasting of electricity generation and consumption

The company AnalyticsHub September 28, 2021 announced that together with INFOPRO Group of Companies LLC they developed a software complex for high-precision forecasting of electricity generation and consumption. Models are based on trained neural networks (machine learning) and provide more accurate forecasting, which reduces costs and increases efficiency in the wholesale electricity and power market (OREM). Analytical panels are part of a number of INFOPRO digital solutions, including INFOPRO: Digital Twin of Renewable Energy, INFOPRO: Digital Energy Supply, INFOPRO: Digital Twin of the Energy Complex and are designed to digitalize generating companies, energy consumer organizations, enterprises of energy-intensive industries.

The developed software has a large range of functionality:

• automated collection and processing data for forecasting (including actual consumption/production, weather data for forecasting RES generation, etc.);
• modification, verification and training of mathematical models;
• forecasting across multiple point of supply (gtr) groups and developing individual models for each GTP;
• reporting to monitor the quality of forecasts provided;
• generation of sets (ensembles) of forecasting models - individual parameter setting for each model with the possibility of selecting a sequence of forecasting.

High accuracy of short-term (two hours in advance for the balancing market) and medium-term (day in advance for PCV) forecasting allows to minimize deviations of actual generation/consumption from planned indicators, to increase the cost of selling electricity at OREM.
