2021: Creation of a fleet of "connected" cars
AzurDrive and the "Smart Driving Laboratory" ("Laboratory") completed the creation of a fleet of more than half a thousand connected cars united by a single digital infrastructure. They will become the basis for the large-scale implementation of smart leasing programs. The use of IoT, satellite navigation, telemetry and Big Data technologies will reduce monthly payments by personalizing the approach to risk management. This was announced on September 28, 2021 by the Smart Driving Laboratory company.
Smart leasing from AzurDrive is integrated with the Connected Car platform of the Laboratory, which allows you to remotely diagnose the technical condition of cars, evaluate driving safety, monitor the location of vehicles and their departure from certain geozones. The "connected" fleet for September 2021 already consists of more than 500 cars, and in 2022 the companies plan to bring their number to 3 thousand.
Connected Car platform data allows the landlord to track and analyze rental car movements and information about speeding and sharp maneuvers. During the testing of the system, AzurDrive conducted a study comparing the data of "connected" cars with the average indicators of their fleet. The experiment showed that drivers, knowing about the control of their behavior on the road on which the leasing payment depends, were much less likely to receive fines and get into an accident.
This tool significantly increases the transparency of the relationship between the landlord and the client, reduces the costs of fleet management and insurance, and also allows you to aggregate big data for individual scoring. All this directly or indirectly leads to the solution of the main problem of leasing development in Russia - accessibility for the mass consumer. In addition, integrating the data we collect with the platform's Connected Car data reduces the bureaucratic burden on the business. said the director of technologies and processes AzurDrive Svetlana Kalganova.

Automation is implemented by integrating the Laboratory platform with the scoring and fleet management system AzurDrive. Data on the movements, violations and driving patterns of each client are automatically transmitted to the leasing company and can be used to calculate individual tariffs. Since the Laboratory's solution is accredited by all major insurance companies, the calculation of the cost of casco insurance taking into account the discount for the use of telematics is carried out for each client individually at the time of leasing.
The use of Connected Car solutions also gives additional benefits to commercial AzurDrive customers. They gain access to structured data from Labs and AzurDrive platforms that can be analyzed using special tools in the mobile application and web interface. This is a ready-made infrastructure for monitoring and planning fleet-related business processes. The client and the landlord have the whole picture before their eyes, so the solution of any issues - from maintenance and repair to the analysis of accidents becomes purely technical. The functionality of the monitoring system allows you to accurately restore the circumstances of an accident: acceleration or braking dynamics before a collision, speed and position of the car.
Timur Kuzeev, Development Director of Smart Driving Laboratory: "In addition to the obvious financial benefit at the time of acquisition of the car, the leaseholder significantly reduces operating costs. Imagine that an entrepreneur leases several cars, for example, for a small delivery business. In the vast majority of cases, connecting a full-fledged fleet management system is inaccessible or a very expensive option for it. And then he gets a full-fledged virtual monitoring center, which at any time can open in his smartphone. He knows where his cars are, how they are operated, how the fuel is consumed, estimates the maintenance costs in advance and instantly finds out if the car has a malfunction message or it gets into an accident. "
Each car is equipped with autonomous search engines, systems for remote hijacking. Specialists at the Laboratory dispatch center monitor car safety around the clock. In the event of theft, both Laboratory employees and AzurDrive dispatchers can conduct operational work to return the car together with the police and other rapid response services.
Smart Leasing assumes that maintenance and repair are carried out by the lessor. Connected Car technologies provide additional opportunities to improve the system for providing such services and supporting car owners in the event of a breakdown or accident. The Laboratory software and hardware complex in real time collects and transmits to the fleet management system AzurDrive mileage data, data on technical failures with error codes of the diagnostic system and accident data. This simplifies the planning of regular maintenance and allows you to ensure the repair of cars as soon as possible.
