2021: Announcement of X-ray apparatus, which is set up without doctor's care in a separate room

On September 28, 2021, GE Healthcare announced the release of the Definium Tempo stationary X-ray system with an upper tube suspension (OTS). According to the developers, the system should become a personal assistant for radiologists and technologists. The idea is to use automation to reduce workload and help radiological departments improve the quality of patient care. The device is adjusted for the patient without the care of a doctor in a separate room.

The Definium Tempo console installed on the pipe includes patient selection and protocol selection functions, changes in technique and positioning settings without departing from the patient. There are also automatic features, including automatic positioning, automatic centering, and automatic tracking.

I have been working as a technologist for more than 17 years and using this system does not look like any of the things I experienced before - this is like a second technologist, "said Nadia Dorson, a technologist at North Central Bronx Hospital.

Dr. Orlando Ortiz, a radiologist at North Central Bronx Hospital, described the Definium Tempo console as easy to use and with the minimum number of pressing steps required. Thanks to the convenient features built into the console, technologists can stay focused on the patient in the room and on the table, as well as provide critical care to patients who are nervous, worried or worried during the examination, which will certainly help improve the overall results of specialists and make a diagnosis faster.

In order to reduce repetition and deviation rates, which can negatively affect everyday clinical operations, Definium Tempo is also equipped with functions that provide consistent imaging and help reduce variability in patient position and image quality. The Intelligent Workflow Suite, supported by real-time video streaming and 3D depth cameras, combines computer vision, video analytics, and precision engineering to provide a suite of tools to improve your workflow.

The Intelligent Workflow Suite includes Position Assist, Technique Assist, and Patient Snapshot, which helps you avoid repeated snapshots and create more consistent images to improve the productivity of your technologists. Additional features include Helix 2.1 Advanced Image Processing of quadruple resolution images provided by FlashPad HD detectors, which create images with exceptional anatomical detail and magnification at low dose, while reducing electronic noise to improve patient experiences.[1]
